Why Choose Care Psychology?
Client-Centred Mental Health Care from an Experienced Psychologist Maroochydore
At Care Psychology we feel it’s very important that you feel comfortable with your psychologist.
We believe it is the role of the psychologist to support you and provide a service that best meets your needs. Like any relationship, it’s important for you to know you can talk to your psychologist about any concerns that may arise throughout the therapeutic process.
What to Expect at Your First Visit to a Psychologist Maroochydore?
Many people feel a little anxious coming to see a psychologist for the first time. This is understandable. Please know that we will endeavour to do whatever we can to make you feel safe and comfortable.
The first session is an opportunity for you to begin to share the concerns that bring you to therapy. In the first session, the psychologist will collect some history and commence an assessment. The psychologist may ask you some specific questions to help determine what your needs are and to help develop a plan together for future sessions.

Reaching out for help to talk things through can make a difference. Some issues we can help you with include:
Care Psychology is a proudly inclusive practice.
Teenage Psychology Sunshine Coast – Working It Out
At Care Psychology, our psychologist Linda understands the challenges young people face. These can include:
Linda loves mentoring teens and supporting their mental health. And she enjoys helping young people develop skills and insight to navigate their inner and outer worlds so they can feel more confident and comfortable every day.
Telehealth Counselling Australia-Wide – Connect in Comfort
Telehealth psychology is a great way to connect with your psychologist from the comfort of your home or office. All you need is a computer with a camera, a microphone and access to Wi-Fi and we can connect for therapy when and where you need it.
Recent studies indicate that telehealth is a highly effective mode for therapy, and many of my clients appreciate the convenience and flexibility it offers.
Linda has been providing telehealth counselling to her clients since 2020. As such, she is skilled at building good connections with her clients just as easily as if they are in the office with her. This means you’ll get the same level of quality psychology care through telehealth counselling as in person counselling.

Linda Meaker – Registered Psychologist
BPsych(Hons) GradDipPsych MA MAPS CEDC
My approach to therapy is compassionate and client-centred. I’m a big believer in the value of connection when navigating life’s ups and downs! I draw on a number of evidence-based therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, positive psychology, psychodynamic approaches, interpersonal therapy, and trauma informed therapies including EMDR and cognitive processing therapy.
I work with adults and adolescents presenting with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adjustment issues, behavioural issues, parenting, anxiety, relationship issues, personal issues, and LGBTQIA+ concerns.
I have been practising as a psychologist since 2006.
Prior to establishing my own private practice, I managed and supervised a range of programs in the community, including child-related programs, crisis response work and bereavement services.
I am also an AHPRA approved supervisor for 4+2 and 5+1 provisional psychologists.
